Upcoming Public Meeting: PFAS & Environmental Concerns – Call for Questions
A public meeting is being held on Tuesday 17th June 2025, 5:30pm – 7:30pm in the Ballroom at Bentham Town Hall to address ongoing concerns regarding the PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) situation involving the Angus Fire site and environmental impacts in the local area.
The meeting will hope to bring together representatives from:
- North Yorkshire Council (NYC) Public Health
- Health Standards Agency (HSA)
- Environment Agency
- North Yorkshire Council Environmental Protection
- Angus Fire
- Yorkshire Water
This is an important opportunity for the community to engage directly with the agencies involved, gain clarity on environmental and public health matters and ensure local voices are heard.
