Upcoming Public Meeting: PFAS & Environmental Concerns – Call for Questions

A public meeting is being held on Tuesday 17th June 2025, 5:30pm – 7:30pm in the Ballroom at Bentham Town Hall to address ongoing concerns regarding the PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) situation involving the Angus Fire site and environmental impacts in the local area.

The meeting will hope to bring together representatives from:

  • North Yorkshire Council (NYC) Public Health
  • Health Standards Agency (HSA)
  • Environment Agency
  • North Yorkshire Council Environmental Protection
  • Angus Fire
  • Yorkshire Water

Residents are invited to submit questions, concerns or topics they would like addressed at the meeting. These will be collated and shared in advance with the relevant authorities to ensure thorough responses and an informed discussion.
